Annual production: more than 10 million bottles

The Veuve Clicquot champagne house was founded in 1772. It owes its success to an extraordinary woman and true pioneer of the industry, whose commitment and personality have had a lasting impact on the history of this brand and of champagne itself: Madame Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, née Ponsardin.

Veuve Clicquot adheres to the motto of its founder: "Only one quality - the best". Veuve Clicquot, the second largest champagne house in the world, is based in Reims (France) and offers various vintage-free champagnes of rare homogeneity - Brut, Extra-Brut, Rosé, Demi-Sec and Doux - as well as vintage champagnes in Blanc and Rosé. Since 1972, the year the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was created, it has also produced the outstanding prestige cuvée "La Grande Dame".

Incidentally, Clicquot's first foreign delivery went to Switzerland in 1773, to a hotel in Bern. And Swiss customers have remained loyal to the brand ever since. Today, the Swiss market is still one of the ten most important export markets for the house.
