The Récolte Blanche Brut is a pure Chardonnay and thus the counterpart of the Récolte Noir. The two siblings from Dosnon, while both definitely showing their origins, have a distinctly different character. While the Noir is balanced and almost solid, the Récolte Blanche with its smoky, salty notes, hints of lime zest and fresh, initially somewhat demanding acidity, is clearly the more intellectual champagne.
Very complex in structure, this Cuvée, with its taut and expressive character, is reminiscent of a great Chablis wine. It is fresh and fruit-driven on the nose, showing subtle floral notes, good concentration, a hint of green apple; it is full-bodied and complex on the palate, yet clear and harmonious, with a delicate freshness and subtle mineral notes on the finish. This champagne is perfect as an aperitif or with seafood.
N.V. (non-vintage) base wine from the 2015 harvest with approx. 30% reserve wines from 2014 and 2013. Fermentation for 10 months in used Burgundy barrels (228 l), followed by an additional 24 months of aging in barrique.
