Grand Siècle is a prestige cuvée that differs from the other cuvées, a unique concept. It is the only prestige cuvée in Champagne that is based on assemblage rather than vintage.

Laurent-Perrier is convinced that it is possible to recreate the perfect oenological year, the one that brings together the ideal balance between its various organoleptic components by constantly pushing the possibilities of assemblage.

Historical facts:
The Maison was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and named Veuve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, decided to unite the two family names to ensure its continuity. Her daughter Eugénie Hortense Laurent inherited the house in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, née Lanson, in 1939.

Grand Siècle, the name created by Bernard de Nonancourt in 1959 for Laurent-Perrier's prestige cuvée, was chosen on the advice of Général Charles de Gaulle. This is the epitome of the art of blending in Champagne, which consists mainly of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, of Grands Crus and the blending of three exceptional vintages with complementary oenological profiles.

Grand Siècle stands for much more than rare vintages. It reconstructs the ideal vintage with each new iteration. Since 1959, Laurent-Perrier has produced 24 iterations of Grand Siècle, which continue to perpetuate the unique style of this champagne.
